In the 16th minute, Sven-Arne Hellsing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jerônimo Pena hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Frank Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Bernardinho Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Sven-Arne Hellsing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SESI UNITED booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Arne Hellsing went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Arne Hellsing to make the kick off. Júlio Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Kvalfält went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the match, Eriberto Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betinho Moura. SESI UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. When Geovânio Vale came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SESI UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio Vale couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven-Arne Hellsing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio Catarinense. That made the score 1-7 in the 62 minute of play. REAL VASCO RIO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Frank Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Júlio Catarinense, making the score, 1-8. SESI UNITED's Sven-Arne Hellsing got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovânio Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Hellsing in the 77th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Pinho got free with Júlio Catarinense in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovânio Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betinho Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Angelo Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Sven-Arne Hellsing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Catarinense. REAL VASCO RIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Arne Hellsing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-10.
