After a defensive mix-up in Receba Futebol Clube's zone, Dedé de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Tavares came out of the goal and Dedé de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witold Gotfryd in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Receba Futebol Clube's Evaristo Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Gotfryd in the 15th minute of play. Válbson Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Nicky Williamson made a huge save. When Antônio Faria fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Receba Futebol Clube's protests and gave Antônio Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Evaristo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Gotfryd in the 23rd minute of the match. Witold Gotfryd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dedé de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Lauro de Medeiros got a free kick in the 35th minute. Betão de Barros struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Nicky Williamson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Receba Futebol Clube. Witold Gotfryd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Evaristo Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes in the game, Ernesto Ramalho dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 42nd minute Witold Gotfryd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Gotfryd in the 47th minute of the match. After 48 minutes Receba Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Witold Gotfryd who took care of the corner kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witold Gotfryd to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Ernesto Ramalho got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 52 minutes, Betão de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Sá in the 59th minute of play forced ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s goalkeeper Nicky Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Witold Gotfryd's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Evaristo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Ramalho in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Receba Futebol Clube booed when ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s zone, Válbson Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Williamson came out of the goal and Válbson Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Receba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Evaristo Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Ramalho. 83 minutes into the match, Receba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Witold Gotfryd came free, but Evaristo Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Roberto Maia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Witold Gotfryd got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evaristo Tavares. If Ernesto Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antônio Faria hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match, Witold Gotfryd tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Evaristo Tavares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
