When Toninho Santos fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SESI UNITED's protests and gave Toninho Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute of the match Witold Gotfryd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Betinho Moura skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Sven-Arne Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot. SESI UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Arne Hellsing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Williamson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 played minutes SESI UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Gotfryd in the 14th minute of play forced SESI UNITED's goalkeeper Betinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s goal looked a bit too open when Aris Kidonakis came free, but Nicky Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicky Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Arne Hellsing's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Aris Kidonakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicky Williamson having to make a save. Witold Gotfryd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Betinho Moura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 79th minute Witold Gotfryd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witold Gotfryd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SESI UNITED's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
