With his leg Cido de Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when COURO COME FC's Nildo Chaves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, COURO COME FC's Iuri Cardozo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Cido de Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Nildo Chaves sent off a good shot on target. Estrela Vermelha's Cido de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Estrela Vermelha from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper Cido de Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nildo Chaves. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Nildo Chaves sped through Estrela Vermelha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cido de Medeiros. Cido de Medeiros came out of the goal and Nildo Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Chaves was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Iuri Cardozo sped through Estrela Vermelha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cido de Medeiros. 6-0 became the score in the 60th minute when Nildo Chaves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. COURO COME FC's Léo Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Cruz in the 88th minute of play. Cido de Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Chaves's shot from short distance in the 89th minute.
