Nelson da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Palmeiras de Plantão's Osvaldinho Vergílio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson da Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the game, Palmeiras de Plantão's Nestor Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Almkvist in the 18th minute of play forced Social Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nelson da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Helge Almkvist sped through Social Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelson da Silveira. 22 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Vergílio came free, but Nelson da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Paulista in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Helge Almkvist in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson da Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zézinho Paraíba in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson da Silveira saved Social Futebol Clube from getting behind. After some careless play in the Social Futebol Clube defense, Helge Almkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson da Silveira. The Social Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson da Silveira should have stopped the shot. Nelson da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Almkvist in the 39th minute of play. Nelson da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Vergílio in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Zézinho Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The Palmeiras de Plantão fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Palmeiras de Plantão's Zézinho Paraíba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Social Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palmeiras de Plantão were winning 0-9.

In the 52nd minute, Nestor Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeiras de Plantão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. Nelson da Silveira was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Zézinho Paraíba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zézinho Paraíba really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. After 57 played minutes Palmeiras de Plantão got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Paraíba. Nelson da Silveira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-12. Thanks to some nice moves Helge Almkvist could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Nelson da Silveira however easily saved by the left post. Nelson da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Social Futebol Clube's Nelson da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Paulista in the 68th minute of play. Osvaldinho Vergílio scored 0-13 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson da Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Osvaldinho Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-14. The crowd rose to their feet as Helge Almkvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelson da Silveira. That made the score 0-15 in the 75 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Zézinho Paraíba took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Nelson da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. Helge Almkvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-17 in the 81st playminute. In the 85th minute, Helge Almkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeiras de Plantão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-18. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Zézinho Paraíba took a quick shot and it went in 0-19 without a chance for Nelson da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. 92 minutes into the match, Helge Almkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson da Silveira. Social Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Helge Almkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-20. When the final whistle sounded Palmeiras de Plantão left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Social Futebol Clube.
