Despite this Zé Vieira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rustam Arsenievich in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Vieira came out of the goal and Rustam Arsenievich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLU ES fc's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rustam Arsenievich scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Vieira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 minutes Inazuma Japan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valdomiro Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Raí Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FLU ES fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
