With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihály Medgyesi in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Porto saved Quiroga F.C. from getting behind. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quiroga F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time Pombal 2003 F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s João Sarmento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juninho Porto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Mihály Medgyesi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 36 minutes into the game, Percival Koehler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Juninho Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Augusto Stephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Porto. Quiroga F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Stephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Juninho Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Stephen in the 44th minute of play. Mihály Medgyesi scored 0-8 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihály Medgyesi to make the kick off. The supporters of Quiroga F.C. booed when Pombal 2003 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihály Medgyesi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Quiroga F.C.'s Juninho Porto got control of the ball when Percival Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihály Medgyesi took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Porto. Juninho Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Percival Koehler came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juninho Porto could save by the left post. Juninho Porto stood somewhat misplaced when Mihály Medgyesi came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 59 minute. In the 63rd minute, Percival Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juninho Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. In the 69th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Camavinga to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Cunha came free, but Zé Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Augusto Stephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Porto was a little too slow when Percival Koehler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-13. Juninho Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Quiroga F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Batista hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match João Sarmento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juninho Porto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juninho Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Mihály Medgyesi took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Juninho Porto to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Moraes got free with Juninho Porto in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Pombal 2003 F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quiroga F.C..
