Vicente Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karin Benzema in the 19th minute of play. PiuPiu's Vicente Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karin Benzema in the 21st minute of play. Carlos Alberto Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Veloso in the 24th minute of play. Fernandão Zonta made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AA GUARULHOS's Luís Paulo Catarinense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Veloso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alberto Tinoco saved AA GUARULHOS from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Karin Benzema left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AA GUARULHOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ulises Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot. AA GUARULHOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Bernad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karin Benzema in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Aaron Hääger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Linares. PiuPiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Hääger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 40th match minute, PiuPiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Zonta to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, PiuPiu's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Hääger came free, but Vicente Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronny Brenon got free with Carlos Alberto Tinoco in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Veloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Ezequiel Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PiuPiu's Vicente Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save PiuPiu from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by PiuPiu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jannik Reimer was slow to take the kick. During this time AA GUARULHOS's players had a chance to rest. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitor Roque, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 84 minutes PiuPiu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jannik Reimer who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on AA GUARULHOS's corner Jannik Reimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vicente Linares quite easily take care of the ball. Carlos Alberto Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence King in the 86th minute of the match. AA GUARULHOS's attentive Luís Paulo Catarinense managed to snatch the ball when Fernandão Zonta made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Vicente Linares made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Aaron Hääger sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of AA GUARULHOS booed when PiuPiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence King didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Hääger hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The AA GUARULHOS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AA GUARULHOS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
