José Vítor de Souza came out of the goal and Haisenberg Dolar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute Clube Audax Metropolitano were awarded a corner. Shi Ying Jian went to the cornerflag to take it. Gabriel Moscardó tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired José Vítor de Souza. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 8th minute. José Vítor de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haisenberg Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Haisenberg Dolar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haisenberg Dolar in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Vítor de Souza saved Wellington Phoenix from getting behind. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when Wellington Phoenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haisenberg Dolar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Bjørn Ironside cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. José Vítor de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Haisenberg Dolar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Vítor de Souza, 5-0. Franco Szczęsny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haisenberg Dolar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. José Vítor de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Charles Puyol kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 57 minutes, Haisenberg Dolar made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Wellington Phoenix's José Vítor de Souza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haisenberg Dolar in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Haisenberg Dolar came free, but José Vítor de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio de Almeida during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wellington Phoenix's Egídio de Almeida got a free kick in the 66th minute. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Eriberto Netto was substituted for Haisenberg Dolar. After some careless play in the Wellington Phoenix defense, Eriberto Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor de Souza. The Wellington Phoenix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor de Souza should have stopped the shot. When Eriberto Netto came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Clube Audax Metropolitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Netto couldn't finish the play. José Vítor de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Netto in the 92nd minute of the match. Bjørn Ironside struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. José Vítor de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Audax Metropolitano. The audience was convinced that Eriberto Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Vítor de Souza was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Clube Audax Metropolitano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
