After 9 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by Hacı 林义亦. Fabricio Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Anderson in the 10th minute of the match. Magno Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jens Anderson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabricio Lawrence having to make a save. When Vecdi Heper came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Legion of Boom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vecdi Heper couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Anderson came free, but Fabricio Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Anderson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens Anderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabricio Lawrence read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Jens Anderson struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fabricio Lawrence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legion of Boom. Jens Anderson scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Lawrence, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guto Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Hermínio Meireles sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Legion of Boom booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Vito Diniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabricio Lawrence showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Legion of Boom were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno do Nascimento made a kick off. Guto Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grady Esposito, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Mascote FC's zone, Jens Anderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Lawrence came out of the goal and Jens Anderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens Anderson got free with Fabricio Lawrence in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabricio Lawrence was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Jens Anderson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jens Anderson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Vila Mascote FC's Fabricio Lawrence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. Legion of Boom's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
