After 94 played minutes, Fúria Futebol Clube's Wilton Nunes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waldemar Quintal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fúria Futebol Clube reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dênis Marques got free with Júlio Porto in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Voyager Soccer Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fúria Futebol Clube throughout the match.
