The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cipriano Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th match minute, Lógica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lógica FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rogério Peixoto hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes Lógica FC got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Maia. In the 14th minute Giuseppe Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lógica FC booed when A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Renan Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavinho Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís de Souza in the 19th minute. Cipriano Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Tikka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Meira having to interfere. Casper Granqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Flavinho Meira made a huge save. Sílvio Luís de Souza came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Flavinho Meira could save by the left post. Aníbal Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Cerezo came free, but Cipriano Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavinho Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Tikka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Dalmo Soares in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lógica FC's Rogério Peixoto. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aníbal Cerezo made a kick off. Flavinho Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's goalkeeper Cipriano Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renan Gerber. Dalmo Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Renan Gerber could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Cipriano Abreu however easily saved by the left post. Edu Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Edu Damião hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Lógica FC's Flavinho Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casper Granqvist in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Cerezo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Abreu saved A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 from getting behind. Flavinho Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Marques in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís de Souza in the 80th minute of play forced Lógica FC's goalkeeper Flavinho Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Romero in the 94th minute of the match. Lógica FC's João Pedro Coelho was substituted for Dedê Maia. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lógica FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
