The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Atlético Cristo Rei booed when Football Verde-Amarelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Football Verde-Amarelo's Rodrigo Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dong Zhi Hong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Football Verde-Amarelo's Dong Zhi Hong threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bo Ros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Football Verde-Amarelo's Santo Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Mangueira in the 13th minute of play. Joe Kalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Edgard Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo Ros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dong Zhi Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dong Zhi Hong was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bo Ros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Cristo Rei's Cristo Gabas got a free kick in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Atlético Cristo Rei's Dong Zhi Hong got control of the ball when Chico Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joe Kalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Mangueira in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Cristo Rei's Jon-Egil Schjelderup got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 47 played minutes, Football Verde-Amarelo's Rodrigo Batista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dong Zhi Hong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Football Verde-Amarelo reached it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joe Kalle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dong Zhi Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Secco in the 53rd minute of the match. Morales Argudin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santo Marcos having to make a save. 58 minutes into the game, Edgard Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Football Verde-Amarelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Cristo Rei the free kick. The supporters of Atlético Cristo Rei booed when Football Verde-Amarelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Dorian Freire from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Santo Marcos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Cristo Rei's goalkeeper Dong Zhi Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Dantas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Football Verde-Amarelo made a substitution. Vito Batista replaced Chico Secco. Football Verde-Amarelo's Amadeu Vergílio was substituted for Bo Ros. After 66 played minutes Atlético Cristo Rei got a freekick which was hit by Diego Dantas. Rodrigo Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dong Zhi Hong. Atlético Cristo Rei's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santo Marcos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Mangueira in the 72nd minute. Santo Marcos came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Cristo Rei's Tiago Mangueira. But to his dismay, Tiago Mangueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tiago Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Football Verde-Amarelo's zone, Joe Kalle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Marcos came out of the goal and Joe Kalle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Batista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dong Zhi Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dong Zhi Hong came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Football Verde-Amarelo's Amadeu Vergílio. But to his dismay, Amadeu Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. A collision led to Atlético Cristo Rei getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Cristian Moreno hit a great ball.
