An unexpectedly hard shot by José Furlan in the 8th minute of play forced ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Luís de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. José Furlan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Sílvio Luís de Barros 8 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Buzescu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ypiranga FC made a substitution. Dorival Dantas replaced Wiliam Neves. A collision led to ATLÉTICO BAHIANO getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Manuel Buzescu hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizinho Veiga got free with Sílvio Luís de Barros in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Angelino Chayo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ypiranga FC's Petre Porumboiu. Petre Porumboiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeu Guedes. Romeu Guedes had several of the ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Sílvio Luís de Barros as he didn't even see the shot coming. Petre Porumboiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelino Chayo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Ypiranga FC's Luizinho Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luís de Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Sílvio Luís de Barros made a huge save. In the 36th minute Wei Xi Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Porumboiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ypiranga FC booed when ATLÉTICO BAHIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu Guedes got free with Sílvio Luís de Barros in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ypiranga FC's José Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sílvio Luís de Barros. That made the score 4-1 after 39 minutes of play. Ypiranga FC's Silvano Chepe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sílvio Luís de Barros but with some difficulty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeu Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Sílvio Luís de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Guedes in the 52nd minute of play. Wei Xi Feng charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wei Xi Feng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wei Xi Feng hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Romeu Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sílvio Luís de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Guedes in the 58th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Romeu Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Sílvio Luís de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beppe Rosi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the ATLÉTICO BAHIANO defense, Rodriguinho Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luís de Barros. The ATLÉTICO BAHIANO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luís de Barros should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeu Guedes in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luís de Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petre Porumboiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Rosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Romeu Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Sílvio Luís de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Furlan took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luís de Barros. Sílvio Luís de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 88th minute, José Furlan made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Luís de Barros. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 93rd minute, Manuel Buzescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ypiranga FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ATLÉTICO BAHIANO for a fine match.
