PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Hakkı Kenan Ayçetin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Dráuzio Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PIAUÍ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Demis Katsarolidis in the 11th minute. Serafino Nafarroa took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Nogueira. Serginho Nogueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 17th minute of the match, Juninho Freitas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dráuzio Mattos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Dráuzio Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Freitas in the 20th minute of play. Serginho Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Guga Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peng Yu Jian in the 27th minute of play. Dráuzio Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the game, Joaquim Ubiña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PIAUÍ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mosqueteiros 4EVER the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in PIAUÍ FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Serginho Nogueira had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Dagoberto Albuquerque's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dráuzio Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Freitas in the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Alfredão Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PIAUÍ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baturhan Oytun in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráuzio Mattos saved Mosqueteiros 4EVER from getting behind. If Guga Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baturhan Oytun got free with Dráuzio Mattos in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Millano Almandoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peng Yu Jian got free with Serginho Nogueira in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rdth minute of the game Guga Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Dráuzio Mattos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Freitas came free, but Dráuzio Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serginho Nogueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Galsino in the 56th minute. With a little luck, PIAUÍ FC's Serginho Nogueira got control of the ball when Emilio Galsino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Gøl came free, but Dráuzio Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mosqueteiros 4EVER players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
