Ladislao Gerazan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emmanuel Dandy having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when 忠 许褚 came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Lin Yan Yan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BLACK STAR FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lin Yan Yan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 忠 许褚 in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jano Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BLACK STAR FC's Lucien Ratté couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nova Iguaçu MZFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Matos in the 25th minute of play forced BLACK STAR FC's goalkeeper Emmanuel Dandy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Dandy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 35th minute of play forced BLACK STAR FC's goalkeeper Emmanuel Dandy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Dandy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 忠 许褚 in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 忠 许褚 in the 39th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 忠 许褚 in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickaël Maris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Măcrinici to make the kick off. Emmanuel Dandy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 54th minute of the match. Emmanuel Dandy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Gerazan in the 55th minute of play. Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 忠 许褚, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Horaţiu Măcrinici struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Emmanuel Dandy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Iguaçu MZFC. After 76 minutes, 忠 许褚 made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Edu Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanuel Dandy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BLACK STAR FC's Rafinha Orange quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jano Paes, made in the 86th minute of the game. Emmanuel Dandy came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ladislao Gerazan. But to his dismay, Ladislao Gerazan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emmanuel Dandy saved BLACK STAR FC from getting behind. When Horaţiu Măcrinici came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horaţiu Măcrinici couldn't finish the play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of BLACK STAR FC for a fine match.
