PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Sipo EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Naldo Antunes took the corner. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Naldo Antunes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carroll Hathaway in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Caio Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Silveira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway got control of the ball when Caio Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Elói Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Herensuge. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Silveira in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caio Silveira in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carroll Hathaway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carroll Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carroll Hathaway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caio Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caio Silveira in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carroll Hathaway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54thth minute of the game Caio Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Caio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clarence Seedorf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Azevedo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carroll Hathaway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matías Azevedo took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Kléberson Guedes was substituted for Pavel Bobrov. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Giovani de Azevedo was substituted for Frederik Cueli. 76 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sipo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ the free kick. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naldo Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Ture Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ture Rosendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarence Seedorf in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ were awarded a corner. Naldo Antunes went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Ture Rosendahl advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-1 in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute Ture Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Ture Rosendahl notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fully deserved thier win.
