In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nildo Meireles's late challenge caught a Sipo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pindorama Eagles's Vassilis Nentakis got control of the ball when Flávio Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Filip Bykowski hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Zonta in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carroll Hathaway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Carroll Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Maicon Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ştefan Magheran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carroll Hathaway was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sipo EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Carroll Hathaway went to the wrong direction when 洪岚然 was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ştefan Magheran. Sipo EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Ştefan Magheran scored to the left of an out of position Carroll Hathaway, making the score, 0-3. 67 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Ştefan Magheran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carroll Hathaway narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of S.E. Pindorama Eagles booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Frits van Gaal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway did a great save. If Ştefan Magheran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Ştefan Magheran made a precise shot to the right of Carroll Hathaway. Sipo EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Sipo EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.E. Pindorama Eagles:s goal. When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's 洪岚然 got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carroll Hathaway. Elói Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Nentakis having to interfere. The Sipo EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.E. Pindorama Eagles were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
