In the 30th minute Cícero Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grêmio Bulls's Kauan de Andrade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carroll Hathaway. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. Flávio Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maadan 张正乐 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play.
