Spectators: 8600 (Terracing: 6450, Seating: 1978, VIP seats: 172) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvinho Corrêa kicked off to start the match. The Independente AC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Independente AC's Silvinho Corrêa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sidney Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Corrêa in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Silvinho Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 10 minutes into the match, Independente AC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathaniel Burnett came free, but Cássio Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independente AC's Silvinho Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Imbituba - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Corrêa in the 33rd minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independente AC's goalkeeper Cássio Dionísio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Imbituba - FSCMZ got a corner. Independente AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luís Fonseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Rogério da Silva heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 42nd minute, Nathaniel Burnett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Independente AC made a substitution. Kanu Zago replaced José Carlos Mozer. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nathaniel Burnett made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamber Aktaş in the 57th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independente AC's Cássio Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathaniel Burnett in the 60th minute of play. Sidney Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Corrêa in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute Nathaniel Burnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kamber Aktaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Independente AC's Sebastiaan Dijkman was substituted for Camillo Sciarretta. After having played for 76 minutes, Silvinho Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independente AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ersan Ergüleç was substituted for Nathaniel Burnett. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Válbson Pimenta was substituted for Berenguer Anda. A collision led to Independente AC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Leopoldo Nunes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Independente AC's Leopoldo Nunes got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a little luck, Independente AC's Cássio Dionísio got control of the ball when Ersan Ergüleç tried to sneak it across the goal line. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Válbson Pimenta came free and shot a quick shot against goal 81 minutes in the game, fortunately Cássio Dionísio had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rolando Gaspard hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes, Independente AC's Hermínio Figueiredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sidney Motta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independente AC reached it. Cássio Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Pimenta in the 89th minute of play. Cássio Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válbson Pimenta in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersan Ergüleç in the 93rd minute of play forced Independente AC's goalkeeper Cássio Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kanu Zago made in the 97th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Silvinho Corrêa. Independente AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Imbituba - FSCMZ for a fine match.
