Geovanildo Luis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Pesqueira City were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Joinville City - FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Válbson Vidal took the corner. Pesqueira City:s Jeremias Orland showed great skill when he stopped Horácio Abraão:s penalty. The Pesqueira City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Orland should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Adhemar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Abraão in the 95th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Adhemar Santos put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jeremias Orland.
