The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aldo Dodorol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Bibiano in the 4th minute of the match. A collision led to Lopetegui getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Martin Hedman hit a great ball. Aldo Dodorol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Eguerdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 9 minutes, Virgilio Gamus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River and the Lopetegui players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, River's Virgilio Gamus got a free kick in the 9th minute. Wangari Muta Von Bischhoffshausen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Aldo Dodorol made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lopetegui's zone, Angelino Bibiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Dodorol came out of the goal and Angelino Bibiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Dodorol was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Emiliano Eguerdi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emiliano Eguerdi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Aldo Dodorol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Bibiano in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Lopetegui got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Kostarakis. In the 25th minute Angelino Bibiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Dodorol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lopetegui's Martin Hedman got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Angelino Bibiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Aldo Dodorol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aldo Dodorol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bibiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Maximiliano Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lopetegui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Dantel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. River's Angelino Bibiano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aldo Dodorol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Bibiano in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Lopetegui's Aldo Dodorol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Eguerdi in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Bibiano in the 60th minute of play forced Lopetegui's goalkeeper Aldo Dodorol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River's Angelino Bibiano got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When River's Angelino Bibiano in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lopetegui's goalie prevented a goal. Angelino Bibiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Dodorol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Aldo Dodorol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Blasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Bibiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Aldo Dodorol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Dodorol came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by River's Angelino Bibiano. But to his dismay, Angelino Bibiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Angelino Bibiano took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Dodorol. Aldo Dodorol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 86 minutes into the game, Angelino Bibiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Aldo Dodorol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Angelino Bibiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximiliano Dantel during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 97 minutes into the game, River's Angelino Bibiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aldo Dodorol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. River were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lopetegui for a fine match.
