With an all-out effort, Fiambalá's Nereo Oskitz threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Stanislao, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jeremias Lluterio came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Payogasta AFC's Serafin Martxelin. But to his dismay, Serafin Martxelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jeremias Lluterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Gorri in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Tiadoro. 16 minutes into the match, Payogasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Nataniel came free, but Nereo Oskitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Tomas Stanislao cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nereo Oskitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fiambalá's Astor Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Mergildo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Nereo Oskitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Payogasta AFC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Payogasta AFC's Benjamin Leobardo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Gorri. Marcelo Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nereo Oskitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Stanislao's late challenge caught a Payogasta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Stanislao helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Payogasta AFC booed when Fiambalá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Stanislao didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Marcelo Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fiambalá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Mergildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nereo Oskitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Jeremias Lluterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fiambalá's Eliseo Bortzaioriz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Mergildo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Oskitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Tomas Stanislao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
