In the 25th match minute, Caraguatay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Bieito to maneuver through the defense. Damian Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eusebio Oroitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Caraguatay's goalkeeper Eusebio Oroitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Dalmai. After a rather tough play, Caraguatay's Isidoro Jakobe got a free kick in the 35th minute. Damian Estevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eusebio Oroitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Estevez ran back to his position shaking his head. When David Dalmai came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fondoblanko FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Dalmai couldn't finish the play. After the first half Caraguatay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Benedicto Quinto as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the Caraguatay defense, David Dalmai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebio Oroitz. The Caraguatay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebio Oroitz should have stopped the shot. Damian Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Oroitz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Bieito during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benedicto Quinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Rumaldo in the 74th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Caraguatay got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Bieito. Eusebio Oroitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Estevez in the 84th minute of the match. Eusebio Oroitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Estevez's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. If David Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Maidana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Benedicto Quinto made a huge save. Despite being the better team, Fondoblanko FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
