Arturo Montay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Mikelats might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Bernard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Mikelats ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15thth minute of the game Arturo Montay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirguita's Elias Bernard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elias Bernard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Montay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Filiberto Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Arturo Montay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Elias Bernard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erasmo Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toldos AFC's Filiberto Monte got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Arturo Montay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Elias Bernard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Arturo Montay came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Toldos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Montay couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Montay in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Bernard saved Pirguita from getting behind. If Arturo Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Monte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Bernard having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorato Gurutz made a kick off. When Arturo Montay came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Toldos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Montay couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Montay got free with Elias Bernard in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 65 in the game by Arturo Montay from a close distance when the talented Elias Bernard managed to make a qualified save. Pirguita's players were relieved. The supporters of Pirguita booed when Toldos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Montay didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Toldos AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Filiberto Monte hit a great ball. Alvaro Osoro, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Florentino Raebert's late challenge caught a Toldos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florentino Raebert helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pirguita getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Florentino Raebert hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pirguita's Vinicio Ilixo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Arturo Montay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Mauro Dominix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toldos AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
