Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stig Sander took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Uriel Mazuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig Sander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Santo Quexal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Independiente's Claudio Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Savier in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Independiente booed when El Quijote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Cesaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Quexal made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Stig Sander sent off a good shot on target. Independiente's Claudio Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Savier in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Eladio in the 22nd minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Claudio Lluis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes in the game, Donato Eudoxio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santo Quexal having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Aris Ziakas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Ziakas to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Cesaro came free, but Claudio Lluis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stig Sander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Mazuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Venancio Savier to make the kick off. El Quijote's Santo Quexal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Sander in the 56th minute of play. Stig Sander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Santo Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Mazuste in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Quexal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig Sander in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santo Quexal saved El Quijote from getting behind. When Stig Sander came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Sander couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes El Quijote got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Eladio. El Quijote's Santo Quexal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Sander in the 74th minute of play. Uriel Mazuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Independiente's Uriel Mazuste got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Uriel Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente's Uriel Mazuste got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, El Quijote's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Mazuste came free, but Santo Quexal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Stig Sander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Quexal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. El Quijote's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
