The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruperto Txeru during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, dufaur's Ruperto Txeru got a free kick in the 16th minute. Marcos Ixidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Su, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Braulio Tximitx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Hauglid having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Valentin Hodei made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Ixidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot by Melquiades Reyes from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Einar Hauglid's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Su in the 29th minute of play forced dufaur's goalkeeper Marcos Ixidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ruperto Txeru was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. After some careless play in the dufaur defense, Benicio Precioso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Ixidor. The dufaur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Ixidor should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Su to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Gai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Einar Hauglid having to make a save. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when dufaur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Boca Juniors were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 59th minute, Braulio Tximitx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Hauglid was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 67 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Porfirio. 69 minutes into the match, Enrique Gai notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Boca Juniors's Einar Hauglid. Einar Hauglid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when dufaur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Tximitx in the 76th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Einar Hauglid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Valentin Hodei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Hodei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Silvio Guipuzkoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. dufaur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. After a rather tough play, dufaur's Silvio Guipuzkoa got a free kick in the 85th minute. Erasmo Su struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marcos Ixidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. The supporters of dufaur booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Mikeldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Boca Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boca Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
