Narciso Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex McBjarton in the 3rd minute of play. When Ronny Eklund came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Liverpool 1974 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Eklund couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex McBjarton in the 9th minute of play forced Urquiza Thunder's goalkeeper Narciso Hori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronny Eklund in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Hori saved Urquiza Thunder from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Urquiza Thunder's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Clementi came free, but Narciso Hori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Alex McBjarton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urquiza Thunder's Narciso Hori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liverpool 1974's Osvaldo Clementi got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Tonio hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Narciso Hori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Eklund in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Apolo Tonio's late challenge caught a Urquiza Thunder's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Tonio helped the player get up and apologised. Romulo Vasco hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Liverpool 1974:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Urquiza Thunder:s goal. In the 68th match minute, Liverpool 1974 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Galtero to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Liverpool 1974 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Narciso Hori was a little too slow when Osvaldo Clementi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 1-1. Despite being the better team, Liverpool 1974 failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
