Me Duele el Higo
Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Freddi García got the match started through his kick off. In the 12th minute Freddi García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Estebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddi García, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddi García in the 17th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Gavino Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Valentin Lopes in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Me duele el higo's Genaro Pirro. In the 19th minute Freddi García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Me duele el higo's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Bertol came free, but Hipolito Bladi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Me duele el higo got a freekick which was hit by Freddi García. Freddi García recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateo Godoy charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Godoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Ovidiu Onofrei made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Estebe. Arrecifes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Freddi García was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hilario Bertol made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Genaro Pirro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Estebe came out of the goal and Genaro Pirro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hipolito Bladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Bertol in the 53rd minute of play. If Silverio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Freddi García had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Estebe. Arrecifes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddi García was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Freddi García had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silverio Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Estebe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Me duele el higo's zone, Hilario Bertol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Bladi came out of the goal and Hilario Bertol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrecifes's Gavino Estebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Onofrei in the 69th minute of play. Baldomero Toli charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Toli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Ovidiu Onofrei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Estebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddi García in the 75th minute of the match. Me duele el higo's Hipolito Bladi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Me duele el higo from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Ovidiu Onofrei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavino Estebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddi García, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Me duele el higo were furious when Teobaldo Su was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Me duele el higo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, Arrecifes's Primitivo Matei got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hipolito Bladi. 94 minutes into the match, Me duele el higo's goalkeeper Hipolito Bladi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Toli. Me duele el higo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
