The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Igor Frederik scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Esdras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Pedernal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Mogel came free, but Raimundo Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Arnoldo Oriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Esdras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestino Roland was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gervasio Oto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Oriol in the 33rd minute of play forced Pedernal AFC's goalkeeper Raimundo Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pedernal AFC's Bruno Katia got a free kick in the 34th minute. Raimundo Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Mogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Raimundo Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Oriol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gervasio Oto made the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Benitez in the 54th minute of the match. If Gervasio Oto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Gervasio Oto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celestino Roland. AndateGuillermo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervasio Oto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 68 minutes into the game, Saverio Mogel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AndateGuillermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedernal AFC the free kick. The supporters of Pedernal AFC booed when AndateGuillermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zacarias Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Esdras made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Arnoldo Oriol sent off a good shot on target. Zacarias Benitez hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Clodoveo Chaime might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celestino Roland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clodoveo Chaime ran back to his position shaking his head. Raimundo Esdras was a little too slow when Arnoldo Oriol got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 3-2. Raimundo Esdras made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Arnoldo Oriol sent off a good shot on target. Pedernal AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
