An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Argi in the 13th minute of play forced SANTO TOMAS's goalkeeper Zeledon Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, SANTO TOMAS's Sixto Beltza threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladimiro Beremundo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sixto Beltza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Feliciano Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANTO TOMAS's goalkeeper Zeledon Udalaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Udalaitz having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimiro Beremundo to make the kick off. If Bernardo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofilo Lapurdi in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Udalaitz saved SANTO TOMAS from getting behind. After having played for 56 minutes, Felix Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swansea City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Felix Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Swansea City FC booed when SANTO TOMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Fonda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Teofilo Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Udalaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Umbruso thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Zeledon Udalaitz, a very annoying self made goal in the 68th minute which led to 0-1. In the 74th match minute, SANTO TOMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Fidensio to maneuver through the defense. Swansea City FC's Sixto Beltza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Beremundo in the 78th minute of play. Teofilo Lapurdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zeledon Udalaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Feliciano Argi came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Swansea City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Argi couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes SANTO TOMAS got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Sal. In the 94th minute, Dario Iztal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Udalaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.
