The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Talleres Cba. booed when El Peluquero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Peluquero's zone, Segundo Tabby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 36th minute, Nikos Perakoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the El Peluquero defense, Hilario Jerrold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Iratzeder. The El Peluquero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Iratzeder should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Hilario Jerrold made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Iratzeder. El Peluquero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Felix Kiliz was slow to take the kick. During this time Talleres Cba.'s players had a chance to rest. Talleres Cba.'s Felix Kiliz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Iratzeder in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
