The Almirante Brown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Maxin should have stopped the shot. Juliusz Bator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Arlo having to interfere. The long shot by Julian Inguma in the 13th minute really tested Astor Maxin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Blas Eguerdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Maxin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Blas Eguerdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despeñaderos's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Eguerdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Maxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos's Blas Eguerdi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Maxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Gorosti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Astor Maxin. Almirante Brown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 29 minutes, Jacinto Gimenez made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Almirante Brown's Astor Maxin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Almirante Brown's zone, Jacinto Gimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Maxin came out of the goal and Jacinto Gimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Eguerdi came free, but Astor Maxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Despeñaderos booed when Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Noe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Jacinto Gimenez put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Astor Maxin. After having played for 44 minutes, Elphin Closky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almirante Brown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elphin Closky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Astor Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Gimenez in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
52 minutes into the game, Despeñaderos's Jacinto Gimenez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Maxin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 55 minutes into the match, Jacinto Gimenez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Maxin. Almirante Brown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Gimenez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Jacinto Gimenez scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Maxin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacinto Gimenez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Valentin Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Blas Eguerdi made a precise shot to the right of Astor Maxin. Almirante Brown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Juliusz Bator's late challenge caught a Despeñaderos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juliusz Bator helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Bator. If Valentin Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Despeñaderos got a freekick which was hit by Blas Eguerdi. In the 84th minute Jacinto Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Despeñaderos got a freekick which was hit by Julian Inguma. Astor Maxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Gimenez went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Despeñaderos had played much better football throughout.
