Astor Selatse was left in no man's land by his defense there! 6 minutes into the match, Tusquitas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Jerrold came free, but Astor Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necochea AFC's Anastasio Olo managed to work through Tusquitas AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Anastasio Olo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 9 minutes into the game, Necochea AFC's Anastasio Olo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Selatse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Astor Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Olo in the 13th minute of play. Vladimiro Berbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Normando in the 15th minute of the match. Astor Selatse came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Necochea AFC's Anastasio Olo. But to his dismay, Anastasio Olo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Tusquitas AFC defense, Anastasio Olo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Selatse. The Tusquitas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Selatse should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute of the match Reine Larsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Astor Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Lisandro Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Berbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Normando in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Necochea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Normando came free, but Vladimiro Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Tusquitas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Jerrold came free, but Astor Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Ieltxu made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Necochea AFC's Arnaldo Omero.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Normando to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Necochea AFC's Anastasio Olo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Astor Selatse. Astor Selatse yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. 57 minutes into the match, Lisandro Normando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimiro Berbiz. Necochea AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Normando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Damaso Mendebal struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Astor Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Necochea AFC. After having played for 78 minutes, Anastasio Olo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Necochea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Olo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Necochea AFC made a substitution. Baldomiro Aznaro replaced Anastasio Olo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Azeari in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Berbiz saved Necochea AFC from getting behind. Vladimiro Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Normando in the 87th minute of play. Necochea AFC's Arnaldo Omero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Prospero Ourente in the 89 minute of the game. Astor Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Omero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lisandro Normando hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Tusquitas AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Necochea AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
