Spectators: 6976 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ovidio Jokin started the match with the kick off. Ovidio Jokin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Javier Mitxel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Natalio Grabiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Mitxel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Grabiel in the 7th minute of play forced El sabor del encuentro's goalkeeper Javier Mitxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When River Santa Fe's Natalio Grabiel in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El sabor del encuentro's goalie prevented a goal. Natalio Grabiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Mitxel having to interfere. Javier Mitxel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natalio Grabiel's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. With his leg Javier Mitxel managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when River Santa Fe's Ovidio Jokin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Danilo Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Natalio Grabiel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Javier Mitxel. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Maiorga to make the kick off. Natalio Grabiel hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Ovidio Jokin came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the River Santa Fe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Jokin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, El sabor del encuentro's Danilo Maiorga got a free kick in the 59th minute. El sabor del encuentro's Javier Mitxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Jokin in the 64th minute of play. Natalio Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Javier Mitxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Mitxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in El sabor del encuentro's zone, Natalio Grabiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Mitxel came out of the goal and Natalio Grabiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Jokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Javier Mitxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Jokin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natalio Grabiel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Mitxel having to make a save. A collision led to El sabor del encuentro getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jeremias Giraldo hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Santa Fe had played much better football throughout.
