To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Antonello Oriali notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of GLADIADORES's Venancio Iago. Venancio Iago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venancio Iago stood somewhat misplaced when Antonello Oriali came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 42 minute. Venancio Iago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Oriali in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Petri made a kick off.
