Godfredo Ponc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benavides's Silverio Palban suffered a sore thigh after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 30 minutes, Enrique Ospetsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.BANFIELD and the Benavides players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to C.A.BANFIELD getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. After a rather tough play, C.A.BANFIELD's Nicolas Caetano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, C.A.BANFIELD's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Ponc came free, but Ariel Aurken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Benavides's Godfredo Ponc made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Aurken was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Esteve Lon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.BANFIELD's Inocencio Estebe got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teo Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfredo Ponc got free with Ariel Aurken in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.BANFIELD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leandro Betadur was slow to take the kick. During this time Benavides's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of C.A.BANFIELD booed when Benavides was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th match minute, C.A.BANFIELD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Chayo to maneuver through the defense. When Godfredo Ponc came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Benavides fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Ponc couldn't finish the play. Esteve Lon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Inocencio Estebe notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Benavides's Teo Pere. Teo Pere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Benavides could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A.BANFIELD throughout the match.
