Spectators: 6620 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1620, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arnaldo Raebert kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Churqui AFC's Ruperto Maraman got control of the ball when Reynaldo Benat tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Vickya FC's protests and gave Romeo Abadie a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Abadie hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th match minute, Vickya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Remigio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Sabino in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaston Rico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edelmiro Mateo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Rico. Gaston Rico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaston Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Mateo in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Adriana Anaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaston Rico. Vickya FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriana Anaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Anaya in the 29th minute of play forced Vickya FC's goalkeeper Gaston Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Churqui AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Raebert came free, but Ruperto Maraman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Rico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Mateo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Mauro Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriana Anaya made a kick off. Ariel Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Rico having to interfere. Edelmiro Mateo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Rico having to make a save. If Edelmiro Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Mateo in the 60th minute of play forced Vickya FC's goalkeeper Gaston Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gaston Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Arnaldo Raebert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Vickya FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adriana Anaya fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Vickya FC's zone, Adriana Anaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Rico came out of the goal and Adriana Anaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute Edelmiro Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vickya FC booed when Churqui AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Lico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Gaston Rico made a huge save. Churqui AFC's Ruperto Maraman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Benat in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Ariel Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Churqui AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Sabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Leonel Lico fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Churqui AFC's protests and gave Leonel Lico a yellow card for diving instead. Leonel Lico hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gaston Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Churqui AFC played a much better game than Vickya FC and deserved their victory. The Vickya FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
