An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Chuan Peng in the 44th minute of play forced Piñeyro FC's goalkeeper Arturo Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralf Stæhr in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ralf Stæhr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arturo Hulberto was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Limay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mai Chuan Peng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piñeyro FC's Arturo Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Marino in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Piñeyro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Marino came free, but Arturo Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Stæhr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Arturo Hulberto made a huge save.
