Amador Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Papo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Matteo was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36th minute Abel Porfiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abel Porfiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Papo in the 46th minute of play.

Chapulines's Candido Santos was substituted for Abel Porfiro. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Llorenc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Abel Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 楚思榕 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Luxardo's Abel Llorenc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 楚思榕 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 70 minutes into the match, Candido Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amador Matteo, 1-2. Candido Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amador Matteo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th play minute Gerardo Papo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amador Matteo. 1-3. After 91 minutes, Hipolito Donostia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luxardo and the Chapulines players grew even worse after the yellow card.
