Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anibal Maju started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Justo Osasun got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 14th minute Cipriano Guillelmus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Loren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Fiz came free, but Damian Loren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. Damian Loren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anastasio Fiz went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Atlas F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Geronimo Fresco hit a great ball. When Anastasio Fiz came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Atlas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Fiz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Tauro during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anastasio Fiz made a kick off. The Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Anibal Maju looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Atlas F.C.'s Sidney Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Gomez in the 58th minute of play. Anastasio Fiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Damian Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Prestes came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Lázaro Gomez. But to his dismay, Lázaro Gomez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sidney Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Osorio in the 76th minute of play. Cipriano Guillelmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Loren having to interfere. The supporters of Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza booed when Atlas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Medero during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Anibal Maju ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
