In the 15th minute, Herminio Hodei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Lefevre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Abaunza kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Rosario ES Central's Rafael Lefevre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Hodei in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Kongo Kinshasa Star's Julio Loren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Lefevre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rafael Lefevre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Hodei in the 39th minute of play. Domingos Erasto might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Félix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Erasto ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Kongo Kinshasa Star were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 played minutes Kongo Kinshasa Star got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Nalo. Rosario ES Central's attentive Victor Abaunza managed to snatch the ball when Wilfredo Dolcet made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Kongo Kinshasa Star's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Vincente came free, but Frederico Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario ES Central's attentive Victor Abaunza managed to snatch the ball when Wilfredo Dolcet made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Rosario ES Central's Domingos Erasto got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Ye Xuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Rosario ES Central lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
