All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venancio Eliu to strike the kick off in the second half. Atilano Madaleno was a little too slow when Venancio Eliu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-1. Alejandro Hurko hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in club 9 de julio's zone, Guido Maidana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lawrence came out of the goal and Guido Maidana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Guido Maidana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Lawrence. club 9 de julio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Maidana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 75 played minutes club 9 de julio got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Hurko. With a little luck, Rosario's Atilano Madaleno got control of the ball when Venancio Eliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Sotil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Madaleno having to interfere. When Fausto Fidele came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the club 9 de julio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Fidele couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
