After 41 minutes of play, C.A.T.A F.C's Luís Suárez made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Llorenc was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half C.A.T.A F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in La Plata FC's zone, German Opilano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Llorenc came out of the goal and German Opilano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Opilano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Federico Llorenc when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Narciso Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st play minute Luís Suárez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Federico Llorenc. 0-4. In the 74th match minute, C.A.T.A F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Opilano to maneuver through the defense.
