The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Arixo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Xabier saved Villa Crespo FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lino Arixo sped through Villa Crespo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Xabier. Marcelo Tajo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Tajo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcelo Tajo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Lino Arixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villa Crespo FC's Leonardo Xabier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Shantala in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Lino Arixo lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Leonardo Xabier. Leonardo Xabier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Arixo in the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lino Arixo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Xabier was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. COLON FC were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Villa Crespo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelo Tajo took the corner. Marcelo Tajo made a great header on COLON FC's corner, it was just that Villa Crespo FC's Leonardo Xabier managed to reach the ball for a save. Damaso Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Xabier having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Arixo made a kick off. Lino Arixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Shantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Leonardo Xabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Crespo FC's zone, Isidoro Caetano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Xabier came out of the goal and Isidoro Caetano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Ponce charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejo Ponce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Villa Crespo FC's Alejo Ponce got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Lino Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Xabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Arixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rogelio Maura kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Camilo Lixandro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Benito Caradaro made a huge save. In the 86th minute Lino Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Xabier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Senio in the 87th minute of the match. Sixto Rik struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Leonardo Xabier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLON FC. Lino Arixo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Xabier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. COLON FC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Villa Crespo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelo Tajo took the corner. Hugo Hustaz tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Leonardo Xabier. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-0 in the 92nd minute. In the 96th minute Lino Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that COLON FC were the better team. COLON FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
