Blas Urtun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Lando in the 19th minute of the match. Amadeo Indartsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Blas Urtun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Burutzagi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nemesio Rudolfo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Severino Lando tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Blas Urtun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Sportivo La Cesira's Mario Burutzagi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blas Urtun. That made the score 2-1 after 38 minutes of play. Estudiantes LP's Blas Urtun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Lando in the 41st minute of play. Estudiantes LP's Blas Urtun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes LP from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute of the match Claudio Berart shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blas Urtun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severino Lando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Blas Urtun made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Barnaba Gdowik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
