The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Melquiades Maxin was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Ubaldo Polo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ubaldo Polo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Andres Socorro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Siro Jacindo having to make a save. Ubaldo Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Melquiades Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ubaldo Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jaime Asier came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Poblet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Asier couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Asier in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Jacindo saved Ñorquín FC from getting behind. Andres Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Jacindo having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Socorro to make the kick off. Siro Jacindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Socorro in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Poblet's Siro Marquez got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Lucio Bento fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poblet's protests and gave Lucio Bento a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ñorquín FC booed when Poblet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64thth minute of the game Epifanio Ondino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poblet's Melquiades Maxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Andres Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poblet's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Socorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Jacindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, Ñorquín FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Mingo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Andres Socorro took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Siro Jacindo to make any attempt to save it. In the 73rd minute Epifanio Ondino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
