An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Meder in the 26th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Bahia's goalkeeper Albino Tipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Mikeldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 90 minutes, Gerardo Berriotxoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Clube Bahia and the Tupungata players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Sabin in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardino Mikeldi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tupungata's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
