After 4 minutes, Prospero Mikolas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nelson and the VR 46 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nelson getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Prospero Mikolas hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Evelio Vellito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernabe Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Lastur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godfredo James made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Lluques in the 26th minute. Bernabe Izel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo James having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Nelson's Cristobal Omero made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Aguirre was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Prospero Mikolas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. In the 41st match minute, Nelson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Mikolas to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Izel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Godfredo James tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Angel Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernabe Izel to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Angel Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot. VR 46's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Lluques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo James breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristobal Omero's late challenge caught a VR 46's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Omero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Cristobal Omero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Lixandro kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Godfredo James showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Lluques, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of VR 46 booed when Nelson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Lehen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Izel scored 2-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo James, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Cristobal Omero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3.
