Casimiro Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Abaurre having to interfere. Casimiro Frederico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Unión FC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edgardo Bladi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Resaca FC's Cayetano Abaurre. 0-1. Cayetano Abaurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Frederico in the 25th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Baldomero Erauso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejo Pero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Resaca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Frederico came free, but Cayetano Abaurre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Ariel Tebaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Abaurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Resaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Pero to maneuver through the defense. The Resaca FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unión FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Quinto made a kick off. Casimiro Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cayetano Abaurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Ariel Tebaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casimiro Frederico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Cayetano Abaurre made a huge save. In the 69th minute Ariel Tebaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Abaurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Emilio Goyo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Resaca FC's Cayetano Abaurre. Cayetano Abaurre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ariel Tebaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Resaca FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Maximo Ted hit a great ball. Cayetano Abaurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Tebaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Emilio Goyo's late challenge caught a Resaca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Goyo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Resaca FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Baldomero Erauso hit a great ball. The Resaca FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Unión FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Unión FC.
